There are a number of ways to find the right auto glass installers. You will need to research a little however. First look at the various installers in your area in a local listing or a newspaper. Then you can do a Google search and look at least those installers in your area that have a listing, review or a website. Read reviews if there are any. Also ask around among your friends, neighbors and colleagues whether they have already used some of the local auto glass installers and how happy they were with any work they had done there.

If you are using a system fix auto glass repair disc, boot the PC with that. Otherwise, after your PC has finished its BIOS sequence, hold down the F8 key. Choose Repair Your Computer from the Advanced Boot Options screen (below) and tap Enter.

The bottom line is you don't want to be caught by law enforcement with a cracked windshield. You also don't want to be seen by your friends, riding around in a car with a broken windshield. Not only is the citation costly, you may never be able to live down the embarrassment that you feel every time see you in your car before you have gotten it fixed. The glasses of doors, windshields and mirrors can be mended by the skills of the workmen. Some of them are mended so well, that it would be difficult to say that they were once broken. A cracked mirror is said to bring bad luck. So don't have one in your home if you believe in this. Instead get it mended and restore it to its former glory.

Convertible tops last about eight years. Check that the cover is not in contact with the frame which could cause damage. If you can see scratches on the rear window, visibility will be bad. Also a crease in the window could hinder the view. The crease can be prevented by placing a towel in the fold, so the window can not be compressed.
